Current project: An AI-Based System to Support Purchasing Processes (AVI-IA)

Abstract: The objective of this project is to develop an AI-based system that guides strategic decisions in purchasing processes. Such a system includes an analysis module that allows to evaluate the reliability (or the risk) associated with each provider and a recommendation module that proposes the best negotiation strategy based on the historical data about completed negotiations.

Project: Collectiveware: Highly-Parallel Algorithms for Collective Intelligence (HPA4CF)

Abstract: The aim of the project is to design and evaluate novel highly-parallel algorithms for real-world Collective Intelligence domains, which usually translate into large-scale (online) Combinatorial Optimisation problems. As prominent examples of these domains we consider shared mobility and cooperative learning. Result show that the implementation of optimal policies within these domain can produce major societal benefits, by reducing pollution and energy consumption by up to 70.78% [T-ITS, 2021], and by promoting productivity and learning by 25.3% [KBS, 2019], respectively.
